We know the region well, favorite playing area of Olivier, our local representant, also "child of the country". We are pleased to offer you a journey to discover all the aspects of the Basque Country - inland and coastal - along itineraries without any major difficulties, accessible to most people.

An authentic journey, as we like them, in the heart of a lovely region, getting you to know its inhabitants, its landscapes and its colored gastronomy of course !

Jour 1 : BEACHES AND FORESTS, FROM BIARRITZ TO ANGLET : 15 Km.

Arrival in the early afternoon at the hotel. We suggest a little stroll along beaches and forests to get your legs and stomach ready for the week...

Along a brand new net of cycle paths, the way will lead you to discover the architectural treasure of the elegant Biarritz, the turbulent beaches and the pine forests of Anglet, its neighbour. Dinner and night in Biarritz.

Jour 2 :THE ATLANTIC COAST : GUETHARY AND ST JEAN DE LUZ : 45 km.

Along the coast, you will discover beautiful beaches and ride through the typical ports of Bidart and Guéthary ending your stroll at the bay of Saint Jean de Luz. Leaving the coast you will then enjoy the gently hilly valley of the river Nivelle, and enter the inner Basque Country. In the background, lovely typical villages and lower mountains. Dinner and night in Espelette the gourmet, your stopping place for the next two nights.

Jour 3 : ESPELETTE, ITXASSOU AND CAMBO LES BAINS : 28 Km.

A little pleasant route to discover the very beautiful village of Espelette and its surrounding. An exceptional heritage : architectural ("etche" traditional basque houses), natural (the Nivelle valley and the "Pas de Roland") and culinary of course, with the spice of Espelette and with Itxassou, emblematic village for the cherries. Some "spicy" hills but no major difficulty. Dinner and night in Espelette.

Jour 4 : VALLEY OF THE RIVER NIVE AND BAYONNE : 35 Km.

This morning, way to Bayonne and the atlantic coast! From Espelette, the first hilly kilometers offers superb points of view to the innerland until Ustaritz where you join the lovely (and flat!) towpath along the river Nive. You will arrive then directly in the city centre of Bayonne, city of Art and History, and will be able to enjoy the maze of colourful streets.

After your visit, there will be only a few kilometers left to join Biarritz along the towpathes through forests and on the seaside. No major difficulty. Free dinner and night at the hotel.

Jour 5 : BIARRITZ.

Have a lie in, go to the beach or go shopping, the choice is yours to enjoy the last morning of your stay.
