Treasure Hunt - Port-Louis
MORBIHAN

Tuesday may 16th 2006, about 100 tour-operators from all over the world met in Lorient for the "Destination Jeunes" workshop.

OPEN EYES was in charge of organising a treasure hunt in Port Louis.

We are in the late XVIIIth century, the golden age of the trade with Asia. Many seamen are making money by fitting out ships from the "Compagnie des Indes" in Port Louis.
Sailing back home after an expedition in the Indian Ocean, Danycan, one of the richest and most bloodthirsty of the privateers, decided to secretly hid his gold and silver loot; a huge and precious loot he had patiently gathered over the years from his trade with China and his looting of English and Dutch ships.

By teams of 10, participants had to discover the loot.

5 clues had to be found :
3 by foot in the old village of Port Louis.
2 by bike in the Port Louis surroundings.

Teams had : 1 walking map, 1 biking map and a protractor.

After a surprising pirates attack at the La Pointe port, teams started to look for the clues left by Danycan in the fortified village.

Fortunately for them, to help complete the task, they could rely on two of Danycan's close relations who were aboard his ship: Father Francis, the ship's Chaplain (a God and "spirits" lover) and Lady Anne, Danycan's mistress.
